Hey all,

So based on previous questions that I posted, I haved narrowed down to a few PSUs (within my tight budget) for my future rig. So the rig is:

MoBo: MSI Tomahawk B450 MAX
CPU: R5 3600
RAM: 2x8 Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 Mhz
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1660 GAMING OC (3 fans)
1xSSD
1xHDD

Proposed usage under full load (nothing overclocked) is around 300W, so are the following two PSU good enough:
Seasonic MI2 II 520W EVO 80 Plus Bronze;
Corsair CX550M

Or, should I aim for more power, i.e. Seasonic MI2 II 620W EVO 80 Plus Bronze?
Thanks!

The Corsair CX will be fine. The SeaSonics aren't bad PSUs, but the Corsair's design is a bit more modern.

That depends when it was made, CWT makes the cheap line of psus for Corsair...they do not have the best reputation. They have improved but I would never, in a million years, take a Corsair over a Seasonic.

Being cheap on the power supply is the #1 "dont do" in PC building.

They are both solid budget PSU's, but I still have the M12II ahead, even though it's an older unit. It's built like a tank, has an impressive reliability history, and has spent most of the last 12 years powering some of the toughest systems the gaming world has to offer. If you're purchasing from the budget category, I still think it's the best option.

As for the 620w vs 520 watt question, I would be inclined to go 620, but if the price difference is significant, the 520 will do.

I made my mind to stretch a bit more and purchase EVGA G3 550W,so I hope I've made a good choice.
