Will the gtx 970 reference model 10.5 inch be able to fit in a corsair carbide 100r

As the title says, and if its not possible is there any other way to take some of the hard drive cages out.

I have the msi h97 pc mate will it fit in the top slot?

Yes.
But even in the second slot would work (267 mm vs 275).
