After a ton of research I couldn't find a good answer to my question. I currently run a gigabyte Vega 64 oc edition paired with a 2700x with an all core oc of 4.2ghz. the combo is good but I'm looking for improvement as this combo struggles to get above 240 fps as I have a 240hz 1080p monitor. I'm wondering if I should upgrade to the 5700xt or wait and if I decide to upgrade my cpu I'm going for top of the line 3950x. My specs and games I run will be listed down below.

Ryzen 7 2700x 4.2ghz 1.375v.
Corsair vengeance pro rgb 32gb 3200mhz(running at 3000).
ASRock b450 fatal1ty k4.
Thermal take 750 watt bronze rated power supply.
Cooler master mb511 with 3 103cfm case fans.
2 1tb sabrent red rocket nvme drives with ek heatsinks.
Stock cooler for ryzen 7 2700x
Gigabyte Vega 64 oc edition.

Games I run.
Apex legends.
Call of duty modernwarfare
Gta5

The difference will be minimal in the 5700XT's favour but certainly not worth the upgrade. I would wait and if you cannot then the RTX 2080 Super is the way to go or even the mighty (in cost as well) the RTX 2080Ti which is extremely powerful.

The 2080 and 2080ti are out of my budget and not to sound like a fanboy or anything but once Nvidia cards reach eol status the driver support kinda goes to crap.
