Will these 2 work together

I have a old Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2(Rev 3.1)

and I would like to upgrade my CPU from an AMD Sempron 145 to an AMD Fx 6300, I would like to know if I buy the Fx 6300 will it work with the motherboard (I can update the bios if required].

If it does work will there be any issues?

It doesn't look like there's a BIOS upgrade available for that board that would make it compatible with Vishera CPUs.

He's making a CPU upgrade, not a CPU+Motherboard upgrade.
