Under no2, will this support a 4pin noctua chassis fan? Currently 3 pin pmw lian li case fans are plugged in and they work fine on 3 of the connectors as they all have 4 connectors on them. Just wondering before I buy a 4 pin pmw noctua fan.

Motherboard is x570 plus.

Thanks.

Solution
A 3-pin fan will run when connected to a mobo header that is using the new PWM Mode. That is part of the backwards compatibility of the PWM system design. The PROBLEM is that such a fan can ONLY run full speed all the time - NO fan speed control. So you get cooling (maybe too much), but no danger of undercoooling from a malfunctioning fan.

ANY PWM (4-pin) fan will run properly when connected to a header that is using that new PWM Mode of control.
