Will this APU fit in my Motherboard?

Got an old motherboard(5y/o) which still works great, with it i bought an A4 APU which still works great but really i need something with a bit more power in today's game market. (I'm using an r9 380 GPU with it but even then the processor just cant compete anymore)

My motherboard - MSI FM2-A85XA-G43
APU i want to buy - AMD A10-Series APU A10-7890K with Radeon R7 Graphics and Wraith cooler (AD789KXDJCHBX)

I want to be sure it fits before i hit buy because honestly i once did(bought) the Intel CPU for an AMD socket mistake and well... I'm still salty about that

No it does not support that APU. That is a FM2+ APU and the board is a FM2.

Nope, it is not listed as compatible CPU on motherboards compatibility list. The fastest A10 listed as compatible is A10-6800K.

Might i ask where did you found out about where it says the socket type? I didn't find it in the AMD website.

No it does not support that APU. That is a FM2+ APU and the board is a FM2.

Always look on motherboard website for compatibility lists. AMD website could not track all the motherboards that are build over the world, even if they care.
