Will this be good for a custom gaming PC?

Yes it is but you have a missing part. Where's the CPU cooler? Try Noctua for air cooler and Corsair for water cooler.

I would get a G.Skill Ripjaws X which is at a similar price and is much lower than a Corsair Vengeance so when the RAM is placed on the motherboard it would not interfere with the cooler.

You could save a $1 for a better HDD, Seagate Barracuda.

But the rest is a nice build.

To be honest that's not a good choice at all. The stock cooler isn't a great quality when it comes to overclocking I would go with an aftermarket cooler. Maybe a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo which is cheap reasonable quality cooler.
 


I am not going to overclock because I really don't know how and I don't know if I really want to get into it.
