....so....on the beach at noon? In an air conditioned house or apartment? In a non-air conditioned house or apartment?

I never had air conditioning till about eight years ago. I never had issues with my PCs, but they weren't gaming PCs. So the temps outside ranged up to 90 and 100 F (up to 37 c), windows of the home were wide open, without problems.

It is true that the typical ideal room temp is 70F or 21 c so if your house is hot you'll be circulating warmer air through the PC. But whether that means you'll run automatically 18 c hotter, I'm not so sure. For one thing, the system will likely respond to increased heat by turning on the fans sooner and running them at faster rpm.
