Everything looks good to me, you could make one simple change that would increase performance, and that would be spending $10 - $20 more and getting the new 6800k, not mandatory in any way, but it's still a bit more powerful. Otherwise everything checks out just fine.

It looks good, but i would suggest getting less expensive ram, here is a good choice: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233180
and as for the amd CPU, i would suggest this one, its a little more expensive but what you saved from the ram you will still be saving a little bit of money: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286&Tpk=AMD%20FX-6300%20Vishera%203.5GHz%20%284.1GHz%20Turbo%29%20Socket%20A&IsVirtualParent=1

And, have you thought about a graphics card yet? that is something you will need. xD

Going to the 6300, would mean you don't have a GPU, which is a must for any gaming at all nowadays. I would stay away from getting the 6300 in this case and stick to the APU, only because with this budget you cannot afford a decent GPU & CPU together.
