Will this build work?

Hey guys, I am finally done choosing the components that I want to be in my first PC build with all your help 😀. I was wondering whether will any of the components bottleneck/hinder my system? Also, I don't have any idea on how much watts my system needs..

Here are the specs of my first build:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460
Mobo: ASRock H97 Pro4
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX760 SC ACX 2GB GDDR5
RAM: G.Skill RipJawsX Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM 3.5"
Optical Drive: HP DH-16AAL (reused from my old computer)

GPU:279 Watt
So the system will drow approximatelly 450 watt. Any power supply 550W or more should be more than enough. Some may say less, but the is no perfect PSU, it will either be more than enough or less than needed. More Watt cant do any harm anyway

Everything is very decent except for one thing: The ASRock mobo. Would recommend taking another H97 chipset mobo if you really want this chipset. ASRock is the cheaper brand of ASUS and I personally really don't like ASRock and made bad experiences in the past with bad build quality and poor software support. Maybe this changed but nevertheless would recommend an ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, ... 😉

GTX760 is old news... imho try $$ GTX970, $ R9 280 or wait for GTX960.

I recommend a 600W PSU from a good brand (Corsair, Antec, EVGA, XFX) with 80+ certification.

No performance problems will be with that hardware.

Remember the PSU you pick will be the weakest link in the whole system. It won't matter how good the rest of the components are, if you buy a cheap PSU you could end up throwing hundreds of dollars worth of parts in the trash cause the PSU fried them. With PSU wattage I have always used the 100-200w above minimum you need just to give some extra wiggle room for future upgrades like fans, HD's and so on. Try to get something that is either semi-modular or full modular for the PSU to help with air flow. but like N1kosBond said 550W should be plenty. For my mother's build we used the SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W PSU. So far no complaints with this PSU.

Or a Corsair RM series modural/semi modular 550-600 watt psu
Generaly, the best PSU brands are Corsair, Seasonic, Antec
Dont trust any other PSUs not because they are bad, just because you cant risk them being bad

THe GTX970 and R9 280 is waaaaaay overpriced at where I'm living. The GTX760 is still the more affordable choice for me.

Hey man, thanks so much! It's really you guys at Tom's Hardware that have really helped this clueless idiot a lot. 😀
I will definitely not skimp on my PSU and will probably be getting the one that Beoza suggested. And isn't people claiming to avoid Corsair? Apparently they don't really make good PSUs (or something along those lines)..

By the way, should I get Win8 or 7? I'm still stuck in a dilemma regarding this.

No, corsair is the best PSU company, at least as far as I know
I hate win8 just because they look like android with all that "new menu" staff and the store apps that are completely seperated from the normal windows, I just want to have control over everything(btw I hate android too)
But still this is personal, I am used to win7 and someone else may say exactly the opposite

Corsair sell some great PSU some not so great: Its just a brand (many different builders).
ANTEC is a great option. EVGA too.
But Seasonic (psu builder) and XFX (Seasonic rebranded psus) PSUs are always high quality parts. you cant go wrong w/ them.

I have to agree with that, but many tend to compare completely different quality PSUs

Many use Corsair VS and CX series and expect them to last, and then they are dissapointed then they get fried from the stress. They are not ment for gaming ar heavy usage, but noone reads that in their website
CS and RM is comparable to Seasonic PSUs, HX even better and AXi the best available
Forgive me if I showed any fanboyism, but I live in Greece and here Seasonic is pretty overpriced, Corsair is by far the best option, both for price and quality.

And allow me to say it once again, if you get more wattage you wont stress the psu and it will last forever, MANY(unfortunately) guys here use the cheap no-branded PSUs with mid-end systems and noone ever had any issues or fried parts, thanks to this trick

@NewPCBuild since you can lay hands on it, stick with the seasonic one
