Will this build work?

Solution
Hey Dylan. Yes, I believe all of the parts in your build are compatible. One the other hand, I have a quick question. What are you going to be doing with this build?

Some of your part choices are extremely expensive. For example, unless you're doing extremely hefty loads of rendering/video editing, you won't come close to using the 32GB of RAM. I'd recommenced 16GB if you're not doing anything "outrageous". Additionally, if you aren't storing a great load of content on your computer, I'd assume that 2TB of storage is more than sufficient in addition to your 500GB SSD.

If this is a gaming rig, RAM barely affects your FPS. 8GB would be the sweet spot for those activities. And a 200+GB SSD + a 1TB HDD would be perfect for storage...

Hiccups:
- Your case comes with 3 pre-installed fans. It isn't "necessary" to purchase 3 additional ones, as you would have to swap some of the other ones out.
- The corsair H115i comes with pre-installed thermal paste. You don't need to purchase the Grizzly compound, as the Corsair paste is "performance grade".

Anyways, I hope this helps Dylan. Have a great day, and good luck with the build :)

Solution

Great thanks for he tips! and I plan on recording game play while doing video editing/rendering and the fans I was wondering if they could swap out without killing performance because im trying to go with a white theme. And also wondering if the fans can be placed inward of the case without causing problems

Yeah you can certainly swap out the pre-installed fans. You'll most likely get better performance with the Corsair ones.
- The top of the case comes with no fans. You can mount your H115i radiator and its fans there.
- The back comes with one exhaust fan. You can switch that with your GTX 980 hybrid fan and radiator or the Corsair fan.
- The front comes with 3 intake fans. You can switch those with all three of the Corsair fans. That will give you much better cooling. Otherwise, you can also swap one of the front fans with the GTX 980 fan and radiator if the hose is long enough.

All of your fans can be placed inside of the PC. The front ones are usually intakes, and the rear and top ones are often exhausts.

Anyways, you're set to go. Don't worry too much about the the fan arrangements. Once you purchase everything, you'll be able to decide what you want to swap out, and where you want to mount the H115i and GTX radiator/fans. I hoped I helped. Have a great day man :)
