MB has to have BIOS compatible with 3rd gen Ryzen installed, can't see if it has from that ad.

He means that your motherboard existed BEFORE the 3600 CPU. It is possible to get a motherboard that has been sitting on a shelf for a long time that won't have the minimum BIOS required for the 3600 CPU. It isn't likely but it is possible.
If you look at this page -- https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING/HelpDesk_CPU/ you can see that the 3600 CPU requires version 2301 BIOS as a minimum. You can also see on this page -- https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING/HelpDesk_BIOS/ that version 2301 was released in May 2019. It has supported that CPU for about a year. So, possible but not likely.

I bought this motherboard and out of the box it worked with my cpu. Chances are it will work but you might get a older board so you will have to do a bios update. But I use the same cpu and it works fine
