Will this Gpu fit in my bitfenix prodigy?

I have the black bitfenix prodigy with a gtx 660 as my gpu. I'm looking to upgrade to the r9 290x vapor-x model. I know it's a 2.5 slot card but ive seen a picture when I googled it of some guy on another forum who has one installed in his prodigy? Does anyone here have first hand experience of installing one in a prodigy and if so what kind of temps did it have? I don't overclock so it will just be stock clocks for me 🙂 Thanks

if you take out the drive cage it should. I've seen a titan in one of those

Yeah I know a titan fits but it's just a 2 slot card. The r9 290x vapor-x is a 2.5 slot card. Im wondering about temps also. Just wondering if anyone on here has first hand experience with it. Thanks for the info though 🙂

Yes length wise I know im fine just wondering about the width of the card and temps inside a small case like that

From the PCB of the graphics card to the side of the case panel is at a conservative estimate, 45mm.
The official specs say 47mm wide but that will include the backplate. If I had to bet I'd probably say it'd fit, but it'll be very tight. If it were me though, I'd probably just pick a different card to be on the safe side.
It's worth keeping in mind that the window panel versions will have less space here (and no venting) so would be particularly poorly suited to this.

If you do go for it, I wouldn't have any huge concerns about temperatures due to the venting - it'll always line up pretty well with whatever fans your graphics card has and while a bit of space for air circulation is nice, it's probably not the end of the world as on the Sapphire a lot of the air will be directed through the card anyway.
