Will this GPU fit into my Acer Veriton?

So I am about to buy a GPU to put into my Acer Veriton. I want the EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - 4GB SSC GAMING ACX 3.0 (Yes, I know the preformance will be affected) and it is 229mm long. If it is unable to fit, then I will buy the shorter, yet lesser EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - 4GB SC GAMING 2.0, which is only 145mm. I do know that this one will fit.

Solution

SFF case

you are limited to a single slot low profile card

so those cards wont fit

Solution

So, I am assuming that I will have to go with the Zotac alternative?

I got it for free, so it was the best I could do lol

that changes things... it has a decent cpu

you need a new power supply

looks like the motherboard has a standard 24-pin plug, so a standard power supply will work

it looks like a matx mobo

you could just swap everything into a standard case, get a psu and be then able to upgrade the gpu

I did consider this, but since it is a prebuilt, the motherboard most likely is not compatible with other cases, and if I get a new mobo, I need a new CPU since it is sandy bridge.

Q67H2-AD

Micro atx mobo, so yes a standard case will work as long as you get one that can handle micro atx

verify with this program

under the "mainboard" tab it will tell you the make and model of your mobo

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Or you can simply open the case and look at the mobo, the model number will be written on it

i5 3470 is Ivy not sandy

kk, then use the program or look at the mobo

so we can find out the mobo model, so we can then see if its standard size micro atx

The actual computer model is the Veriton X4618G, if that helps. Also getting a new case will help my "GPU-not-fitting" issue.

Okay, so I found out that it is a Intel Q65 Express, from this website: https://www.cnet.com/products/acer-x4618g-ui5240w/specs/ .

I can confirm your mobo has a mATX format, so all PC cases that support the mATX form factor (if it supports standard ATX, chances are very high it also supports mATX).

So, you can totally just get a new case (e.g. a Fractal Define R5) and all space problems should be solved!
Maybe also get a good new PSU (350-400W) and you're golden for that 1050 Ti.

The only alternative would be getting a low-profile, single slot GT 1030, which is a fair bit weaker than a 1050 Ti (but wouldn't require a case swap).

yup micro atx

Appreciate the help, fellas. Getting the parts today so wish me luck!
