So I have been looking at a graphics card for my pc (Dell Inspiron 3847) and it has a 300 Watt power supply. The card I am looking at is the Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 graphics card which on the Nvidia site says it is compatible with a 300 Watt power supply and on the newegg site says 400 watt. Can I run this card on the power supply I got or do I need a new one? I'm not sure if I were to get a new one if it would work with a dell and my budget is a bit of an issue.

it is way more power than you need to run a 750 ti but it is the cheapest quality psu. it is a tier 1 psu and wont fail under stress and will be good for any system upgrades like a 770/870(or whatevers out) down the road if you want...

Well since I have a gift card for fry's which is $50 I could buy a PSU and the geforce gtx 660 for only $180 which would leave me extra for a sound card.

Well the audio is ok but not the best ever.

I'm in the exact boat as Andrew Yunt, I'm very interested in the Inspiron 3847 to use primarily for the Adobe Cloud, with some gaming. I would also like to upgrade the graphics card but I don't know what I should look at. Have you decided on anything Andrew Yunt? Do I even need to upgrade the graphics card if I'm mostly using Adobe Premiere? Please be patient, i'm new to all of this.

i will pm you

I use adobe premiere elements and photoshop on my inspron 3847 with no lag, it has 12GB ram and the 3.1 GHZ i5. I honestly love the pc, I just got it. But the graphics in games like dayz, rust and arma III blur so I wanted a better card I am getting the evga 650 ti and a XFX 550 watt power supply. If you have the money go for it you'll love it.
