Will this hard drive work with this external wire?

I am buying an ssd from a buy/sell app, I also have a usb to sata converter, for proof that this ssd works I wanted to plug it into my computer, will this wire power the ssd?

No, you will need a SATA power cable from your PSU. Why can't you plug the SSD into your motherboard?

does the USB adapter have two USB connectors on it? if so, then yes, because that USB adapter has a SATA power, and a SATA data connector, so it should work.

Oh wait, I couldn't see the second cable. Yeah, it will work, but it is not advised as it will bottleneck that pretty good SSD.
