Will this let me play Wii on monitor (and record)?

So, I was checking out some tech that could help play Wii on a monitor and maybe record. I think I know what to do, but I just want to make sure it works.
Part A) So I have a Wii, but I don't have a TV. So I think that I might buy a wii2hdmi adapter. After that, I could plug it in to my AOC i2353Ph monitor.
Part B) Would it be possible to record it somehow, using my laptop or a capture card?

Alot of it will depend on what cap card you get. I'm not sure what the resolution and frame rate coming out of a wii2hdmi adapter will be. But if you get that figured out. You would be able to find a compilable cap card.
