Question will this make my pc any slower?

I have one 256g gb ssd that is my root drive and one 2tb hdd for storing my apps. The issue is, that in linux the apps are stored in the root drive by default. So, i made a new partition in my 2tb hdd and put my home folder in there. This freed a ton of space from my root drive, but will it make my pc any slower? For now i don't have any issues, but i would like to know if there is any chance that this will slow down my pc

Don't quote me on this, but I don't think it will. I think you'll only run into problems when the entire disk space is less than 10% free.

The more you put on a HDD vs. a ssd, the more performance will suffer.
A SSD is some 40x faster in random I/O which is what we do 90% of the time.
A SSD will be 3-8x faster than a HDD depending on the connection.

You would do better to buy a 2tb SSD and put all on it.

It will only make the PC slower if commonly used libraries and apps are on the HDD as well. Though really in the former's case, once they're loaded in memory, they tend to stay in memory.
