I've been looking into getting a new mic recently and I found a good deal on ebay.

Microphone:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321820203021?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Phantom power:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291369417327?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Will I need to buy any extra cables for these to work together?

If you are looking at a condenser mic I usually recommend the AT2020USB, or AT2035 XLR with some sort of phantom power mixer.
If you dont have the budget for these, stick to a basic headset. They will give better audio quality than most "cheap" standalone mics.

I was going to plug it via the 3.5 mm jack but some people said that it doesn't have enough power that way so I currently don't know.

Hello... What are you wanting to use it for? Typically there is a XLM connector on the end, and that would get plugged into either a MIXER/48vdc phantom Box/audio interface... The specs on that MIC are not clear about the "phantom power needs or Voltage" as a TRUE condenser MIC would List in the Specs.

Typically a Condenser MIC is used to record High frequency and a larger flat Full Room Sound... Your voice can be recorded with a Dynamic MIC just as Well.

What microphone would you recommend?
