I have the i3 3250 and kingston hyperx 1866 2x4GB ram.

Will the Asus H61M-K work well with my cpu and ram?

The memory controller of the CPU only supports up 1600Mhz memory. See here:

It just might be possible OC it to 1866MHz.

The Asus MB will support both components.

Yep I know about that I was just scared that it might not work at all but if the ram works while underclocked (to sub 1600Mhz) then I'll be happy.

Go into bios and enable profile1 and that should set up the memory to the advertised speeds and timings. Good luck.
