Will this monitor work with BF4?

It is an ultrawide 21:9 monitor. Can BF4 play with that kind of resolution? It would be awesome, but I don't want to buy it if it won't work.

Modern games can run at nearly any resolution supported by the video card and monitor(s). A quick Google search turned up a YouTube video of BF4 running at 2560x1080:

That monitor will work for BF4, but if your card can handle it I highly recommend 2560x1440 over 2560x1080. I have tried both and while the 21:9 is nice for watching movies (as many movies are recorded at that ratio) the 1440p monitor has better compatability with smaller games and also is MUCH better for productivity or web surfing.

EDIT: Something like this would be ultimate.

I have a 21:9 monitor and yes it can run battlefield. Hell I can run any game just fine on it. If my aspect ratio isn't supported, my monitor has an option to adjust to an aspect ratio that is possible automaticly.

I actually haven't built the pc I'm gonna use with it yet, but it will be either a radeon r9 290x or 290

You can expect around 45-60 frames with a r9 290 in most games at max res/graphics. Although I haven't gotten the mantle patch yet so I would expect it to be 60 fps all the time on mantle games. As another note, the above figure also represents mmo games like guild wars 2 in which they are cpu bound. In other words, I didn't see a difference going from a 5870 to a R9 290 in those games.
