I already have an internal video card, to replace the on-board video.

But the internal soundcard I bought in 2021 is failing. I bought the Creative Labs Soundblasterx Z SE, and. Received the Creative Labs Soundblasterx AE-5 PLUS for my birthday.

I have come to find out, that regardless of either soundcard I would use. I would have to upgrade the CPU (which is physically the easy part, despite costing more), and the PSU. I would like to know, if this PSU will fit in the case: www.365powersupply.com/product/54y8934-500w-for-lenovo-10-pin-power-supply-with-6p-graphics-card-fsp500-50agpaa/

let's try from the beginning. What exactly do you want the PC to do. I mean, 32GB RAM for what? GPU: do you wanna play latest games? Do you render videos/images use complex CAD tools?
I upgraded the RAM, because 8GB just wasn't enough for multi-tasking.

I originally upgraded from on-board sound, to the Sound Blaster Rx, because the on-board sound started to fail. Now that card is iffy. So, I bought this card Sound Blaster Z SE, and received this card Sound Blasterx AE-5 PLUS for my birthday, last month(May). Depending on who I talk to. The latter two cards will need more than a 180W PSU and an i3-8100 CPU.

A better video card is at the bottom of the list

so surfing, office and audio production is the purpose?

Interface/Power

PCI-e bus power, +5V for Aurora lighting (requires 4-pin molex peripheral connector from PC power supply)
so you wanna see the card with lights? Then you will need a PSU. If not, nothing needed to add

do you wanna install both sound cards ?

Not sure the cooler is going to cool the 8700.

There is no need, to install both. Lenovo told me. Regardless of either sound card, I would need a new PSU. Preferably, I want to install the Creative SoundBlasterx AE-5 PLUS, I was given for my birthday. I have no wish to see the lights. Besides, I don't have a window in the case.

so last advice, before I get migraine
just install the sound card you wanna use, you won't need any update for that.
Good luck
