I'm looking into upgrading my CPU and came across this one:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MUTWEM6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=8BX6H1KFIKQ&coliid=IK2ZR19YGGFPR&psc=1

and my motherboard is the MSI 760GM-P34(FX) (MS-7641)

I also plan on adding my 700W power supply I bought a while ago, when I add in the cpu so I can get everything situated right off so I don't have to open the computer side too many times since I won't be putting it in myself since I don't know how to install computer parts.

I have also the Nvidia 750ti graphics card in this computer.

The Processor I have now is this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113287 and it;s been great, but it kinda holds me back with what I can do, or possibly do.

I did go to the MSI's site for compatibility and it says it's fine, but I just wanted to double check before I spend any money in case its not.

If you want the 8320E then definetly get it. It's obviously better but needs more power. The CPUs won't really make a big difference though so look up some benchmarks on the two CPUs and if you think it's worth it to upgrade to the 8320 then do it, but if it is a little difference, then the fx...

The processor should fit it is a a am3+ CPU with a am3+ motherboard. Also try to upgrade the 750ti to a r9 270. It costs the same but delivers much higher performance

Thank you two you both for replying so fast, it's appreciated.

I would love to get an i5 or higher processor eventually, but right now this one will have to do until I have more money to spend. And
lucas7004, thank you, I will look into that because I would love to upgrade that card too, but will have to wait for now haha.

If you want an i5 or i3, you have to get a new mother board because i5s are socket 1150. The processor you have is a fm2+ And motherboard is fm2+.

Good to know. This is the first desktop that is better than my old one, which was an HP from several years ago.

I'm a gamer and I run a gaming channel on youtube and I wanna play more, better games, but I have been held back from doing so because apparently this processor can't handle a lot of the games that have come out in the last 2-3 years, and most definitely not the newer ones. I mean, I don't know how much of a difference this one will make, but it should be better than what I have... I hope.

He has a AM3+ not FM2+

So, I shouldn't bother with the FX-8320E 8-core then?

When I went to http://www.msi.com/support/mb/760GMP34_FX.html#support-cpu it shows the 6300 being like 2 processors behind from the 8320E, but both are compatible with my motherboard according to that site.

and the 8320E is AM3+ and so is the motherboard.

Better for the money.
