well i went with that as when i upgrade my system it will have
i7 7740x
gtx 1080 ti
that mobo
16 ddr4 ram
2 ssd
and well other basic stuff

A quality 600 watt PSU is fine for a single 1080ti, if you are going to overclock CPU/GPU then maybe a 750. You may want to consider going with the 8th gen Intel i5-8400 over that processor as well, you will need a different motherboard though.

there really expensive

Because they are enthusiast grade processors and motherboards

YOu could do an AMD Ryzen build

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/8hwqqs/amd-ryzen-5-1600x-36ghz-6-core-processor-yd160xbcaewof
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/ZHyxFT/asus-strix-b350-f-gaming-atx-am4-motherboard-strix-b350-f-gaming

Or for Intel

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/rXCrxr/msi-z370-gaming-plus-atx-lga1151-motherboard-z370-gaming-plus

If you want intel you have to be sure the motherboard is an 1151 (300) series for the Coffelake chips

Either one of them is a good choice. I think you've gotten it in your head that you have to have a massively expensive CPU for gaming, you don't either build is good and feel free to adjust the parts around.

If you are going to do 4k gaming then youll need a 1080 or better 1080ti.

The i7 build again is a microatx board for cost so it will have less features.

hmm thank you probz go with the i5 but with a water cooler instead and and picks on a psu as mines dieing atm

Yes, they perform extremely well, and are very quiet. The AIO water coolers really aren't that much better until you get into the more expensive higher end ones, however they are sometimes quieter and depending on motherboard large air coolers like theNoctua - NH-D15 can interfere with mobo parts unlike most AIO water coolers.

I personally have the Noctua NH-D15 and love it, hate the brown and tan color scheme but plan on upgrading to the black noctua fans in the future. Personally I like the look of the large cooling tower sticking out.
