I recently changed my 7700XT with a 9070XT and i was thinking of moving the 7700XT to an older system i keep in my parent's house that i use when i go there on vacation.
It has a Corsair RM650 PSU that is quite old, 7 or 8 years old at this point. It feeds the Ryzen 3600 and the RX6600 currently in it fine but will it work with the 7700XT or is it too old and underpowered for it? I could just try and see what happens but the real question is: is there a risk of damaging the card if the PSU can't push enough power?
The monitor is a MSI 1080p 100Hz with free sync so the fps limit will keep power draw down.

I wouldn't power the RX 7700 XT. Had you found the same TDP card, then yes I'd ask you to stick to the old Corsair.

Probable, but you should be prepared if your GPU conks out.
