Question Will this RAM be compatible with my Thinkpad T590?

I want to add an 8GB stick of Crucial DDR4 2666 MHz RAM to the available slot in my Thinkpad T590. It came with 8GB of 2400 MHz RAM soldered on. If I install the 2666 RAM will it be incompatible due to the difference in speed, or for any other reason?

You could also just get the 2400MHz RAM from Crucial that is recommended for your laptop:

16GB ~$35
