will this ram fit to the motherboard?

ok so i have an intel h61 motherboard and i wanna buy this 8gb ram from g skill : F3-1600C11S-8GNT
will it work fine with the motherboard?

Sounds like the ram you chose is DDR3 and the motherboard supports DDR3

i heard that there are some motherboards that support ddr3 but wont work with specific rams.
is that true?

also: to install it, i only need to turn the psu off, take the current ram out and put the new one inside or is there anything else?

You can always check for RAM Compatibility Check on the motherboard manufacture

Installing it is right
Cannot remember if there is thumb rules, but I install it that way

With the H61 1600 should be fine, may require an OC of the CPU to run full 1600, but can set to 1066 or 1333
