Hello once again,
I just bought a bunch of hardware and I came to the question, will the ram I bought work with the motherboard I bought?
So I came to you guys to help me out.
The ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-8GXL
The ram link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231689
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The motherboard: ASRock FM2A88X Extreme6+ FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X (Bolton D4) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
The motherboard link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157457&Tpk=fm2a88x%20extreme6
The CPU I bought is the A10-6800K and it's native ram speed compatibility is 2133, so that's what this ram is clocked at so we are fine there.
I also want to know what timing and cas latency are and what they do. I've been around PC's that was compatible with one ram and one ram only, so I have never run into that problem till now building a up-to-date system. But today's motherboards, aren't the compatible with most of all ram on the market (that is if the mobo is non ECC/unbufferd and the ram is too)?
All help is appreciated,
-Cha11enger
