Hello, I have been getting a ton of different bluescreens after building my pc and I suspect the cause being that my power went off during the installation of various drivers when I first started the pc. I have been trying to solve al of these problems one by one over the last days and I am still getting constant bluescreens. My question is: if I format all the partitions on my hard drive (thus making it the same as a new hard drive) and preform a clean installation of windows 8 on it, will this solve my problem? Thanks

I'd run Memtest86 if I were you. It's amazing how often frequent blue screens turn out to be memory-related. It may just be that the memory parameters aren't set up correctly, or one of the modules isn't quite seated properly. It's a quick and easy way to rule out the commonest cause of system crashes.

Clean reinstall is perhaps the most drastic, yet most effective, means of solving such system errors. If the BSODs are sourced from hardware though, then reinstall will likely do you no good. If you have nothing to lose then give it a shot, else keep researching.

It's a good possibility. Of course the only 100% sure way to know is to do it. Since it's a new install, I wouldn't waste any more time, and go ahead with re-installing Windows.

Also during the install, when it asks you where to install, you can delete all the partitions right from that page and then continue with installing to the drive, so there's no need to wipe the drive first.
