will this upgrade work(PRETTY OLD ALL IN ONE)

so my friend just texted me he has this all in one and wants to upgrade it.

if u click on the cpu upgrade section itll tell u which cpus u can put in that pc. but the socket is fm2.

so doesnt that mean u would be able to get this apu

Also, before your friend upgrades, try to find what they do with the all-in-one. They might need memory or video or a faster disk or something other than a CPU swap.

Depending on how tight things are in the all-in-one you may need to reuse the heatsink from the A4 or buy an aftermarket heatsink if the A4 heatsink can't handle the A8 heat load. (they are both rated at 65W, however the A8 will in the real world throw more heat given same technology and A8 has twice as many cores running at higher frequency).
