Looking to add a small LCD screen to make a sensor panel like shown in this vid.

Already set on the HDMI cable choice, but he doesn't get into how he's powering it. I have free internal USB 2.0 ports on a NZXT USB hub. Will this cable

Work to power this?

Or does it need to be a full USB 2.0 header to mini USB? I have zero experience with raspberry pi screens or half USB 2.0 with only 5 pin cables, so I don't want to waste money and time on something that won't work. Or if you have better cable recommendations, preferably right angle ones, I'd appreciate a link. Thanks

Solution
As far as I have experience of Electronics.. you can use any cable to power your display.. that display don't suck more than 200milli amps.. but I do suggest you to use good cable.. so it do not lose anytime in future.. and yes you can power it up with internal USB ports.. even those boards can push 1.5-2 Amps on those USB ports..

So I don't think that can cause any problem.. you can use that cable...
It's all good. I forgot to update this. I yanked a front 120 and mounted it there. I ended up using this cable https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002M8RVKA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
so I could use the screen's supplied 180 degree micro to USB adapter so I could more easily rout the cable directly...

so I could use the screen's supplied 180 degree micro to USB adapter so I could more easily rout the cable directly behind the screen instead of from off to the side and then back. I got a different screen than the one I linked. The one I got was actually the black, not blue version for 10 bucks more and is an IPS, but it's no longer for sale at that listing. The one I got was actually the one Jay rejected in his vid because it wouldn't have fit where he was mounting it. Turned out to be a great little panel. Managed to make a custom resolution of 1920x1080. That's way higher than any of the people who reviewed it claimed to get theirs. But that made the sesor pannel info waaaay too small so I settled on 800x600 instead of the native 800x480. Don't know how I got it that high. Every other resolution between 1920x1080 and 800x600 said "this display does not support that resolution."

Anyways, this is the final product with two pieces of acrylic I cut and painted black to hide the screw holes and make a DIY housing for the screen to take up all the space left behind the 120mm square.

The only problem I had was due to my current GPU. It boots in order and nothing I found could change that. It boots DVI, then HDMI, then displayport. So since my main screen is displayport, it would boot to the tiny screen first. lol Ever tried to read BIOS on a 5 inch screen? Need a magnifying glass. :) So I had to unplug it from the GPU and plug it into my motherboard instead. Problem solved.

Yes that a kind of problem that we all face...
May be you should look for Display port converter to provide data to your mini display

It's fine how it is in that it's working. It's not that big of a deal to have it plugged into the mobo. It's just making the cable have to stick out further in the back than it would to the GPU, which I can;t see anyways. And I have to run intel's GPU software to control the screen instead of nvidia's, but I'm just going to leave well enough alone. I hope when I finally get a 3080 it'll work to boot whatever I have set as primary display first. If not it's back to the MOBO.

Thank you, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'm surprised companies aren't offering sensor panel screens on premium priced cases. I had no idea tiny screens were so cheap now days until I came across Jay's vid. Seems like something that would sway a lot of people to their product. I mean even GPU and now coming with their own screens.

lol One thing he left out though is AIDA64 is only free for a month then it stops working. I may or may not have found some keys online.... ;) lol I'm not paying full price for a license just for a sensor panel. I mean I'd buy it if I was using its full capabilities like its business version, but not for something so simple as a hardware monitor.
