Hello. i just bought a cheap barebones kit. i am new to building rigs and looking for a better vid card and wondered if this video card is compatible.

so is all pcie cross compatible? like will a pci-e x16 2.0 card work with a pci-e x16

Yes they are backwards compatible. But any recent mobo will support PCI-E 2.0 and so does yours.
