Wanted to know if this custom build would work (PS, I dont need an optical drive.)

If you are going to get an i5-2500k, get a aftermarket cpu cooler so you can over clock.

That PSU is okay, but I wouldn't try putting another graphics card in, or doing anything to big like that.
