Will Upgraded CPU Help Application (MS Excel) RAM Usage Efficiency?

I am running into a RAM limit issue on Microsoft Excel 2013. I have the 32-bit version of Excel which imposes a 2GB RAM limit. My company does not have support for 64-bit Office so the easiest solution is unavailable. However, they can upgrade my CPU and I am trying to figure out if a CPU upgrade would resolve my RAM limit issue.

Will a better/faster CPU allow applications to utilize RAM more efficiently? My RAM is already maxed at 16GB and I have cleared temporary files and caches. I couldn't find a way to circumvent Excel's RAM limitation. I am open to other solutions if you guys can think of anything.

That will not help. 32 bit programs and OS's suffer from the same limited memory reference issue.
64 bit Programs and OS's have a limit too but in terms of our current technology we are waaaayy off from having computers with that much memory.

I suggest you stop working in a spreadsheet and convert it to a database.

Changing the CPU will not change things. It is a limitation of 32bit, not the CPU.
Thanks for the response. I understand that CPU upgrade will not affect an application's ability to use more RAM. However, I was wondering if the CPU can process my calculations faster, would that allow less RAM to be used at the same time? One of my counter-parts has a better processor, same RAM, but is able to run the files I cannot.

Try this patch to increase the virtual space for excel:

This is great, thanks so much for the link!

Both of us have the exact same software (32 bit). She has an Intel i5-4300M and I have a AMD A8-5500M. I know the data processes without issue on her system because so far I have had to transfer my file to hers and have her update it on her laptop.
