If i use the media creation tool to create a bootable USB drive with Windows 10, will the installer erase and format the HDD before it installs Windows 10?
I used a program to make 35 passes of overwriting everything. It took 42 hours. The problem is that then I used another USB drive to load Linux live. By accident, I clicked on the option for installing the full version of Linux. When the installation started, the Turn Off button became non-responsive, so I removed the battery of the laptop when the installer reached 4%. In other words, now the HDD has some useless information I don't want it to persist on the HDD.
So, will the Windows installer erase those 4% Linux and format the HDD into NTFS, since this is the best format for Windows?
I don't want to run the HDD erasing program again because it takes a very long time and works very slowly.
