Will wireless mouse/keyboard be a problem?

Our cat likes to chew small wires...like those of a keyboard or mouse. I want to get a cordless combo but I wonder: is there too much lag for gaming? I'm not a super hardcore gamer. No competitive FPS or anything like that, but I do play stuff like Lord of the Rings Online and MechWarrior Online.

No problem at all...i use cordless keyboard and mouse for fps...no lag...
