Question Will xeon e3 1240 v2 work in h61mlv3 motherboard?

So I was planning to order i7 3770 but I found out there is a xeon processor equivalent to i7 3770 that is e3 1240 v2 (50 dollars cheaper). I checked the cpu suport sheet of my motherboard and all the lga1155 version 1 cpu are listed. e3 1240 is listed but why not e3 1240 v2? My mobo supports both sandybridge and ivybridge.
Please help.

Does not list anything under compatible products aside from "server" motherboards.
