Will XFire-ing an R9 270x and an R9 270 work?

Ok so I've got an R9 270x on my machine now, and instead of getting one of the higher end cards, (don't have as much spending money right now) I'd like to just CrossFire another card and get a little boost. Will the R9 270x CrossFire with just an R9 270?

Is the only difference that the 270x is unlocked?

No you need 2 of the either 270X or 270's.
