Hello,
I updated some drivers and next morning when I wanted to start, I got a message:
"No operating system found"

I removed the drive and mounted it in my Mac. There was only 1 Folder: Recovery and that was empty. I run Windows 10 via Parallels and also in the Explorer it shows that one Folder. In Diskmanager I was able to open that partition and saw the complete Folder with WIN 10. How can I make that Folder visible and functional again?

Appreciate your suggestions.
Thank you.
Dorian

In Device Manager I clicked through all devices (there were only a few updating)
and also in Win there was an option to update. It could have been that.

Edit:

Is there a tool in WIN 10 which would make that folder visible and functional again?

The reason why I updated the drivers is that I had many freezes. Which can be very annoying

Edit:

The Folder I want to get back is my whole Windows 10 which is currently hidden.
Parallels might not be the best option, but I have no other WIN I could run it.

I have a backup 3 days old, I just was trying to recover my existing installation because I had some data the day before.
But if it is not possible, I will just format the Disk and restore the backup

I was able to restore my backup via Acronis.
However, when I shut down, I still get often a blue screen with error message: KERNEL_SECURITY CHECK_FAILURE.
Then it shows the percentage and then it shuts down.
I suppose this is a driver issue?

Thanks, but it is getting more complicated:
PC is on, nothing running. I go away for a short while, come back blank screen and again the same Message as yesterday: Missing Operating system.
I remove the drive, connect it to my Mac and again, the WIN Folder was gone! Exactly the same as yesterday. I did not change anything between the restore yesterday and the loosing of the WIN folder.

Thank you. fast Boot and Secure Boot have always been disabled in the BIOS. But I disabled Fast Startup. Hope this helps.
any idea what can corrupt the WIN while running? I did a virus check, but did not find anything
