WIN 10 freezes on boot screen after Samsung mag update to 4.9 and firmware update to SSD

Hi,

In trying to get better performance from my 850evo drive I went ahead and installed Magician 4.9 from the samsung website and did a firmware upgrade. After restart my pc just hangs on the boot screen. I still have my drive that I cloned but I can't boot from this drive either.

I saw other posts about hitting F8 in win 8 and booting in safe mode, but hitting f8 in win 10 only opens up the boot menu to select boot source.

Different motherboards have different keys to enter BIOS, Boot Menu or to bring up Recovery Options. You just need to figure out which is the proper key for YOU to access yours.

Did you disconnect the SSD when you tried to boot from your original drive?
