Hey there.

I've been trying to help my mum-in-law getting her laptop set up after she just (finally) upgraded from 7 to 10. All's good, except that we can't get the Background slideshow to work properly.

We've put all the images (.jpg and .png) in the Public Pictures folder. Then through the Desktop - Right click - Personalize, selecting the desired folder, it continues to pull images from other folders, that are not even in C/Users/Public. Then, if we go back to the Personalization Settings, the selected album is back to Pictures, rather than Public Pictures. The same happens if we go through the Control Panel.

Solution
It might be a side effect of upgrading from 7. Sometimes a fresh install fixes this sort of thing. It might also be the location you trying to use too, perhaps set a folder up outside the users directory and see if it will work then. I have all my libraries on the 2nd drive.

I just followed the instructions on here: http://winaero.com/blog/enable-desktop-slideshow-auto-changing-desktop-wallpaper-in-windows-10/ So far the folder i set as default has remained as default
