I am having a very annoying problem with win2k. I am currently running 256mb ram as i post this, but when i try to add in another 256mb stick, it boots through the bios, but as soon as it clears the gray text win2k boot screen, it just resets. I havent the slightest idea why it does this, and any help from anyone would be GREATLY appreciated.

Specs:
Abit kg7-raid
athlon 1.4ghz, 133fsb
256 (1024)mb ddr pc2100 ecc registered (4x 256)
plexwriter 1610A, acer dvd 16x
tb santa cruz, dlink network
2x 40gb seagate hds, 300W ps
assorted fans x3

Does that mean that your computer is OK when you just install a new stick of RAM instead of old one?
Replace and see how it works.
Is it absolutely the same brand of RAM?
Have you tried BIOS default with both sticks?
Safe mode?
Does the Win2000 have enough time to create any boot.log file before restarting, for us to read?

Its all the same brand of ram, i tried defaults, theyre all brand new (well, 1 month, but ive only been using 1, couldnt make win98 read 256 before), and it doesnt get to create a bootlog, it just resets before it gets to the color loading screen. Safe mode has the same result.
