win 7 black screen

my settings are turn off display after 5 mins ....and never to put computer to sleep but wen the screen goes off and i move the mouse to wake it up it remains back and i have to force restart ....any solutions??

Try doing a HDD test in Windows

for the hdd see the power settings since you put screen at 5 min to shut off it is on the same place also check if the system could be wake up by mouse or keyboard touch .

i removed the require password thing for wake up ....seems working fine now .

password was preventing from turning on .

it wasnt the password .....the energy saving in the bios setup was enabled , it was causing the problem
