Win 7 does not recognize surfboard modem sbg6580

Hello,
win 7 premium does not recognize surfboard modem sbg6580 after running installation program.

I tried most all fixes. New HP P7 computer. Please help me.

What exactly have you tried? Stuff in this http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/US-EN/Home-and-Office/Cable-Modems-and-Gateways/SBG6580-SURFboard-Wireless-Cable-Modem-Gateway/Documents/Static-Files/SURFboard_SBG6580_InstallationGuide.pdf ? What exactly is not recognized? You can't see the wireless network you setup? Or though the ethernet cable?

I have a new New samsung SURFboard SBG6580 Series Wi-Fi Cable Hub Entry. My primary and extra pc techniques were engaged easily to the wireless program with the engaged CD-ROM cd. My third pc which only functions on A linux program systemunix Excellent won't run the cd and I cannot individually get linked with the hub. Could someone help me by explaining what activities I need to take to be able to get linked with the new hub.

Hello,

I'm having the same problem as the original poster. I have Windows 7 Home Premium and am unable to connect to my Motorola Wireless Gateway Surfboard SBG900. I know the network is up and running because it is working on other laptops (Macs) in the house. But my Asus is unable to connect to it. I try to connect following the links you sent, but I don't get a chance to enter in passcode/user id information. I just get a window telling me I'm unable to connect to the network. Any ideas?
