Win 7 freezez when i plug in any usb Gen. into front usb 3.0 headers

so i recently built a pc that i love (FX-8350, carbide series spec-2, AsRock 990FX KILLER, corsair CX750M, EVGA GTX770 SC 4GB, WD Black 1TB), i have the front 2 USB 3.0 headers plugged in and when i put a usb 2.0 cord or thumbdrive in them, my pc will freeze (win 7). there are usb 3.0 legacy support options but idk what that stuff is!

This sounds like a possible grounding issue. Do devices work properly if plugged directly into the ports attached to the motherboard (back of rig)?

yea they all work fine

Make sure there is nothing inside your front panel USB ports causing a short. Also verify you have the front panel connectors attached to the motherboard headers properly.

Everything is connected properly. i took off the front cover and everything seems alright. also, i just rubbed my feet on the floor and when i touch the front USB 3.0 ports, it freezes. I tested this 3 times and same result. It does not freeze when i touch the case.

It sounds like those ports are defective and are shorting out. If you disconnect those headers, does everything work properly?
