I have a Windows 7 machine, used as a Home Theatre PC, which crashes under heavy disk usage. I notice this: 1) when multiple torrents are downloading at once or single large (15GB+) torrents are downloading, 2) when transferring a large (ex: 50GB+ backup file) file to the machine

The machine just crashes and I get no output from the video card, no beeps, nothing. (Cannot be pinged either)

- Running Win 7, files are transferred using windows filesharing to other windows PCs.
- Torrent client used is uTorrent
- All drivers for the motherboard are up-to-date (including network, chipset, etc.) although last versions all released 2+ years ago
- direct connection via onboard lan to the network
- machine has 4HDDs but it doesn't seem to matter where I move data to, it crashes all the same
- have performed a memtest and a standard windows HDD scan, no issues

Hardware is:
- Mobo: ASUS P8H77-I
- i3 2100 CPU
- Corsair Vengeance CML8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
- PSU is a 450W Antec Neo Eco 450C

Have tried just about all I can think of short of changing out hardware... any help would be MUCH appreciated...

The temperature is very low on CPU and motherboard (starts at 35 deg C and goes up to 37 before it fails on the CPU, motherboard gets up to 36 deg C). System is a full aluminium case with a 120mm fan pulling air over the HDDs, which are all spaced out.

Any other suggestions much appreciated...
