Hi
2 year old Packard bell iXtreme (I3 Win 7 Home premium) fails to start and goes through recovery procedure eventually finishing up with the desktop background screen only and nothing accessable no CTL-ALT-DEL/ No win key nothing.
Using F8 to access Safe mode and restore to last good settings options same result.
Removed hard drive and checked it on another PC OK as is memory so looks like a trashed Windows.
Noticed it had 2 partitions one which was accessable and contained a recent image and all data.
Recovered data off HD and image file to USB memory stick.
Tried holing down F11 which is supposed to start return factry settings no good either.
At Packard Bell dont provide no windows disk to rebuild and I cant get into anythin on the machine im a bit stuck.
Anyone any suggestions.
Thoughts are
How can I can I restore the drive image I have on the stick
Buy a proper copy of windows and replace the HD as a precaution
Throw it in the skip
Anyone help
