Win 7 Wireless Connection Issue

I'm having trouble connecting to my friend's wireless network. I can see all of the networks that are available but when I select one and push "connect" the computer thinks for a split-second (spinning blue circle) and then does nothing. No dialog box for a password. No error message. No connection.

Check that the computer can connect to other wifi networks. Sometimes the wifi can get turned off.

It can't connect to any wifi networks. It can see them though. I just cycled the adapter (little switch on the keyboard) and it can see the networks but nothing happens when I attempt to connect. I also cannot add a new network to my wireless list of networks or create a new connection in the Network and Sharing Center. Nothing happens. No dialog or error or anything.

Sounds like the wifi has gone bad. You can try rebooting the computer, and then reinstalling the wireless driver. If this does not work, then you need to use a USB wifi adapter to bypass the issue.
