Win 8.1 crashes nightly (critical process fail / kernel data inpage error)

First instance was overnight June 11, 2018. I woke up and my computer had 'Reboot and select proper boot device'. My settings were set up so after a crash, it would auto-restart and this was the message. I had to hard-power off, then restart.

PC had been working fine during the day, but would crash EVERY night.

When I checked Reliability History, it would always provide a critical event about windows livecomm.exe

I uninstalled livecomm.exe, then I started getting critical events about about bugcheck 0x07a and started receiving BSoD Kernel Data Inpage Error. I researched the error and attempted to Safe Boot, run chkdsk, which hung (and froze) at 18%.

Ran sfc /scannow and told me Win Resource Protection found corrupted files it couldn't fix.
CBS Log here (I don't know what any of this means): https://bit.ly/2Ke3P4K

Ran Spybot and it came back clean. Spy Hunter had a bunch of hits that I fixed / removed.

I downloaded and ran WhoCrashed, which still tells me:
On Thu 6/21/2018 3:04:59 AM your computer crashed or a problem was reported
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\062118-534421-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x14E2A0)
Bugcheck code: 0x7A (0x4, 0x0, 0xFFFFE00151DAC580, 0xFFFFC000C06DF3C8)
Error: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the requested page of kernel data from the paging file could not be read into memory.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

Crashes are going from once overnight to sometimes 3-4 times DAILY.

I do NOT have windows reboot software available.

What are my options?

Thanks in advance!
Adam

can you go to C:\WINDOWS\Minidump
copy any files in here to another folder
upload the copies to a file sharing web site and I will get someone to convert minidump(s) into a format I can read and which will show what drivers were running at time of crash

You can download the win 8.1 ISO here and make an installer if you want one - https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows8ISO - its a handy boot drive if nothing else.

As for SFC, open command prompt (admin)
copy/paste this command into window
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press enter

Once its completed, re run SFC /scannow and restart PC

My minidump files (.zip) can be found here: https://nofile.io/f/BaeYgpZ8yJU/Minidump.zip

I ran the DSIM task and it failed. I received the following:

I restarted, and re-ran sfc /scannow. Got this:

I can't access the dism image, was the error it gave asking for source?

Download a copy of the win 8 iso - create ISO by telling it you want to make DVD - and then mount that ISO in file explorer (see Here) and then copy paste the below command into command prompt (admin)

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:WIM:X:\Sources\Install.wim:1 /LimitAccess
Where "X" is the drive letter where the ISO is located. Simply change the "X" to the correct drive letter

these are win 10 instructions but should work for win 8.1

Another alternative fix is a repair install - https://www.eightforums.com/threads/repair-install-windows-8.26095/

I will ask someone to read dump files but it looks like windows itself is the sick party here.

The DISM image just said Error: 3017; operation failed, system reboot is required to roll back changes made.

As far as mounting the Win 8.1 image; I downloaded the .zip directly from windows in the link you provided, but there is no .ISO or .IMG file (that I can see) within the .zip to mount it as described in your link. I do have the PowerISO program, can I unzip the windows file, then add the folder to '.iso' to create the image, the mount it?
