Hi everyone,

i was trying to troubleshoot an old BGH Positivo Schoolmate 15 TV netbook that wont find a specific 2.4ghz wifi network. It did connect to other but not to this specific one. So i tried to uninstall the adapter from Control Panel and now windows wont reinstalled it again with the defaults. I know its an old platform but Win 8.1 should have some basic driver for this plug n play wifi card. Also i couldnt remember how it was reporting on the system (silly me didnt take note). I tried HWInfo but it wont show up. The netbook reported itself as a Bangho Suma 1025 with a Celeron N2806 Mobile.

Things ive tried:

Couldnt restore, no restore points where available at the time i did this.
Tried to search multiple times on Device Manager and even on Legacy Hardware with no result.
Installed a lot of RTL Realtek drivers from their website but none worked
Tried a USB wifi card, did work but wont load the default driver
Contacted BGH Support for drivers, still wainting for them to answer, they said they will (who knows)

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Thank you for the answer,

Yes, there are unrecognized devices in device manager and I tried to manual installed them with no success. With basic default driver i mean the ones that windows carry as default to run a wifi network card, the ones he obtains merely by staying idle on desktop and installing them on the background. I tried windows update using Ethernet for internet connection as well and waiting while connected for windows to download anything on the background itself but the wifi controller /adapter wont ever show up on Control Panel nor Device Manager.

Thats the problem i cant get the wifi card to report to know exactly what model name it has for me to seek its driver. As far as i know this is a SUMA 1025 Bangho...
you might be mistaken about something...like default driver...hmm nothing like that exists for wifi

Tried a USB wifi card, did work but wont load the default driver
define default driver, or does it mean it shows device error in device manager?

device manager shows unrecognized device? you will need to provide hardware id of that device to find out which driver you gonna need

Ive found some Network Controllers that arent installed and are shown on Device Manager , under Other Devices:

The IDs are :

VEN_8086&DEV_088E&SUBSYS_40608086&REV_24
and
VEN_10EC&DEV-B723&SUBSYS_B73710EC&REV_00
